Warranty Coverage:
HOT Choice ’s comprehensive warranty covers the manufacturer’s defective parts. HOT Choice offers five (5) year limited warranty on the heat exchanger and gas burners, and one (1) year limited warranty on other parts.
If any part fails within one (1) year after purchase, HOT Choice will furnish a replacement part free of charge. In addition to supplying the replacement part, HOT Choice will provide ground service delivery for the replacement part free of charge.
If the heat exchanger and the burners fail within five (5) years of purchase, HOT Choice will furnish the replacement heat exchanger / burners free of charge. The purchaser is responsible for the shipping cost of replacement parts.
This warranty will not apply:
- to defects or malfunctions resulting from failure to properly install, operate or maintain the unit in accordance with the manufacturer’s instruction manual;
- to damage or abuse, accident, neglect or freezing and other acts of nature;
- to damage resulting from operation with either the flame sensor or the overheat sensor removed;
- to failure of the heat exchanger resulting from the operation of water heater in a corrosive atmosphere, or at water temperatures exceeding the maximum rating, or if the water heater is not supplied with portable water;
- to defects or damage caused by any attachment or modification, including any energy –saving device.
Warranty Registration:
You will have 60 days from the date of purchase to register your water heater. The five (5) year limited warranty for the heater exchanger/ burners will not be valid if you haven’t registered your heater within 60 days of purchase. The one (1) year limited warranty will still be granted regardless of registration.
HOT Choice ’s five (5) year limited warranty on the heat exchanger and burners is for water heaters purchased on or after April 30, 2012 only.
